Half Marathon Training

Here is my 17 week training plan for a half marathon on April 23, 2011:

My plan is to do the same type of run each day of the week:

  • Monday:  half marathon pace (10:17) tempo runs
  • Tuesday:  cross train or rest – I’ll probably rest most of these days
  • Wednesday:  speed work (400s @ 9:00 pace, 800s @ 9:10 pace, 1600s @ 9:30 pace)
  • Thursday:  easy run + strength
  • Friday:  rest
  • Saturday:  long run
  • Sunday:  stretch + strength

Week Ten (2/28/11 – 3/6/11)

Week Nine (2/21/11 – 2/27/11)

Week Eight (2/14/11 – 2/20/11)

Week Seven (2/7/11 – 2/13/11)

Week Six (1/31/11 – 2/6/11)

Week Five (1/24/11 – 1/30/11)

Week Four (1/17/11 – 1/23/11)

Week Three (1/10/11 – 1/16/11)

Week Two (1/3/11 – 1/9/11)

Week One (12/27/10 – 1/2/11)
